Date: 6 & 7 february 2027, 9.30 to 17.30 Uhr* *1 hour lunchbreak Ready to take your wheel throwing skills to the next level? Join ceramic artist Kseniya Polyakova for a two-day workshop focused on throwing larger and more complex forms on the pottery wheel. Kseniya will share her practical techniques and teaching methods that help you work more efficiently and confidently with clay. Throughout the workshop, you will work alongside Kseniya, learning step by step through demonstrations and hands-on practice. This workshop is a great opportunity to improve your skills, try new techniques, and gain fresh inspiration for your own ceramic work. You will also spend two creative days with fellow pottery lovers, sharing ideas and learning together in a supportive atmosphere. Who is this workshop for? This workshop is perfect for anyone who: * Wants to improve their wheel throwing skills * Would like to learn new techniques * Wants personal advice and support from an experienced ceramic artist * Is interested in making larger forms * Already has experience working on the pottery wheel What will you learn? During the workshop, Kseniya will demonstrate and explain: * Two clay wedging methods: spiral wedging and the cut-and-slam technique * Correct seating and posture at the pottery wheel * How to use your body efficiently and work with less effort * How to centre clay more effectively * How to create strong basic forms * How to build larger composite forms * How to make a large vase using around 10 kg of clay * Techniques for throwing plates, bowls and vases from a single piece of 10–12 kg clay Previous Experience This workshop is suitable for intermediate and advanced potters. You should be able to comfortably centre and throw at least 1 kg of clay. It is not recommended for beginners. Group Size Minimum of 5 and Maximum of 7 Participants. The final decision will be made four weeks before the workshop starts. Language: English Included * Electric potter's wheel * 10 kg of clay * Tools * Water, tea and coffee Please Note The pieces made during this workshop are practice pieces only. There will be no glazing or firing, and the pieces cannot be kept. The focus of the workshop is on learning, experimenting and improving your technique rather than creating finished work.

Stornierungsbedingungen: Eine Stornierung der Kursteilnahme durch den Teilnehmer ist bis zu 30 Tage vor Kursbeginn möglich, wobei eine Bearbeitungsgebühr von CHF 30.- erhoben wird. Storniert der Teilnehmer den Kurs zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, werden 100% des Kursgeldes fällig, auch bei unbegründetem Nichterscheinen des Teilnehmers am Kurstag ist das gesamte Kursgeld zu entrichten. Ein Umbuchen der Kursteilnahme durch den Teilnehmer ist bis zu 15 Tage vor Kursbeginn möglich, wobei eine Bearbeitungsgebühr von CHF 30.- erhoben wird. Eine spätere Umbuchung als 30 Tage vor Kursbeginn ist nicht möglich und wird als Stornierung verrechnet.
